  • 研究テーマは、①A.スミス、D.リカードウ、T.R.マルサスを頂点とするイギリス古典派経済学の原典の厳密な読解、ならびに研究史を踏まえたうえで新たな知見を提示すること、②1700年代以降イギリスを中心として展開された金融思想（真正手形学説、貨幣数量説の枠組みを提示したJ.ロー、D.ヒューム、J.ステュアート）への対抗思想としてできた古典派貨幣理論—スミス、H.ソーントン、リカードウを頂点とする貨幣理論—と、それに対する応答・批判・継承関係を主軸に、19世紀の地金論争・通貨論争、複本位論争、フリーバンキング論争から、現代にまで至る金融思想史を解明すること、以上である。
