  • 観光社会学を専門としている。具体的な研究内容は3つに分けることができる。①観光におけるオーセンティシティについての理論的探究。②歴史的町並みや天守閣を題材とした、観光におけるオーセンティシティについての実証的研究。③観光社会学におけるパフォーマンス的転回やモビリティ論などの理論的探究。これら3つに加えて、都市や地域、文化、社会をめぐる社会学的分析にも問題関心をもっている。

      This study focuses on new developments in contemporary tourism mobilities. Specifically, it examines the attributes that these new tourism mobilities exhibit, as well as how such mobilities consist of many different mobility types. These factors were studied while focusing on specific regions. Our research was conducted with respect to the following six topics: “advances in science technology and tourism”; “dark tourism”; “subculture and tourism”; “women and tourism”; “arts and tourism”; and “cultural/historical heritage and tourism”. By detailing these topics, this study has been able to produce results to advance tourism studies in Japan.
