Research Theme*
主な研究の領域は、貧困・低所得問題と、その対策としての生活保護制度や生活困窮者自立支援制度などの社会福祉・社会保障のあり方を、地域での実態や海外、特にアメリカとの比較、および行政の責任と民間福祉の役割—社会福祉の公民関係のあり方—をふまえて検討している。近年は、アメリカの福祉事務所の民間委託、生活保護を利用している稼働年齢層の特徴や生活保護制度上の課題、過疎・都市部の地域福祉の社会資源のあり方などについて研究してきた。現在は、2015年4月より実施されている生活困窮者自立支援制度の各地域での支援体制、生活保護制度の不服申立制度のあり方、日米の福祉事務所の就労支援等の体制などについて研究している。
