      2022年度までの研究成果をふまえながら，幼児を対象としたSTEAM教育プログラムの具体について検討を進めるため，日本理科教育学会全国大会において，下記の課題研究を行った。
      課題研究「サスティナビリティ・コンピテンシーの基盤を培う幼児向けSTEAM 教育の検討」（オーガナイザー：大貫麻美，登壇：隅田学，走井洋一，ラッシラ・エルッキ・T.，三宅志穂，原口るみ，指定討論：鈴木誠）。
      質疑応答等による精査をふまえ，日本の幼児教育においてサスティナビリティ・コンピテンシーの基盤を構築するために実施可能なSTEAM教育プログラムについての研究協議を行い，整理した。具体的には，日本の幼児教育に示されている五領域のうち，領域「健康」と領域「環境」に着目してサスティナビリティに関わるテーマ設定を行うこと，活動内容に，領域「言葉」，領域「表現」，領域「人間関係」に関する活動を取り入れることなどが検討された。領域「健康」については，栄養素に着目し，自らや他者の健康を考える活動，包括的性教育に関する活動などが，領域「環境」については，身の回りの廃棄物の再利用，生物多様性保全などがテーマの候補とされるとともに，プログラムにおいては絵本の活用，the 5E instructional modelに依拠した探索や説明などの活動の導入等が検討され，一部の試行調査が開始された。また，既存の幼児向けSTEAM教育プログラムにも，サスティナビリティ・コンピテンシーの涵養に資する内容を含むものがあると考えられるため，それらの精査についても行うこととした。立案したプログラムの試行調査，及び，既存プログラムの精査の総括を次年度内にとりまとめて報告できるよう，準備に着手している。

      本年度は、労働・福祉・経済・教育等にかかわるさまざまな政策が地域を焦点としている近年の潮流のなかで、地域づくりにかかわる社会教育固有の価値を協働概念の検討を通して明らかにすることを目的として研究調査を行った。2023年度の主たる研究活動は以下のとおりである。
      理論面では、コミュニティ形成にかかわる「コモンズ」、「ミュニシパリズム」、「ケア」、「ソーシャル・キャピタル」といった諸概念の再検討を通して、地域づくりにかかわる学習を捉える基本枠組みを以下の３点に整理した。第１に、地域づくりに関わる学習は地域資源としての人材の発掘や再発見だけに焦点化されるものではないということ。第２に、協同実践としての実践コミュニティは地域のつながりを創り、編みなおすことが重要な要素として埋め込まれているということ。第３に、結果や課題解決が地域づくりの目的・ゴールではなく、つながるプロセス自体に課題を発見し共有する学習的要素が含まれていることである。
      実証分析では、協同実践としての実践コミュニティが地域へと広がりを見せる過程に伴う学習過程の考察を試みた。2023年度は東京都港区の子育て現場、引きこもりの若者支援を基盤にしながら地域の多様な団体との協同へと支え合いの輪を広げている岩手県北上市のワーカーズコープの事例調査を行った。また、本研究のもう一つの課題である中山間地域の取り組みについては、中心アクターである五ケ瀬地域づくり研究所、ぎおんの里づくり協議会、ＮＰＯ結ネットたんぽぽの関係者との共同検討会を開催し、分析枠組を再構築した。分担者を含めた集約的調査は、次年度（2024年度）の4-5月にかけて実施予定である。

      昨年度中に行った現代の日本の女子学生の特徴やそこに見られる課題に関する実態把握のためのアンケート調査についてデータをとりまとめ、日本理科教育学会全国大会にて発表した（北村・大貫, 2018）。
      また、理論的背景を整理する目的で行ってきた国内外の生命科学教育に関する訪問調査や文献調査についての取りまとめを進めており、一部は2018 International Conference of East-Asian Association for Science Educationなどでの口頭発表（Miyake and Ohnuki, 2018など）や、論文（加藤, 2019）として取りまとめてきた。また、学童期以降の各発達段階にある市民のヘルスリテラシー（主担当：西垣）等についての調査や人間学的見地からの文献研究（主担当：走井）等を進めてきており、次年度の日本理科教育学会全国大会においても引き続き発表を予定している。
      昨年度中の研究協議をふまえてコア・プログラムとして立案した死に際する自己決定に関するグループ・ディスカッションについて白百合女子大学にて事例研究を行い、日本カトリック教育学会での学会発表を行った（大貫, 2018）。また、他の２つの私立女子大学においても実践を進めている。さらに、人体構造に関する科学的理解を目的とした教材としての模型の特性等についての調査を進めてきている。「心臓のつくり」に関する学びの構築についての実践的研究を日本理科教育学会にて口頭発表した（加藤・大貫, 2018）。また、「投げる」能力を育むための教科横断的学びを支える教材等について論文発表を行った（石沢・大貫・椎橋・宮下, 2019）。

      2018年度は，2017年度から継続して，①キャリア形成の目標・諸指標設定の前提となるコンピテンシー概念に関する先行研究・諸知見の収集・批判的検討，②ブレンド型就労支援の理論的枠組み構築の前提となる支援現場における先進的な取り組みの収集を行った。
      ①について，2018，2019年度から教科として実施される「特別の教科 道徳」に関連づけながらコンピテンシー概念の再検討を行い，道徳科が目指すのは「新しい社会を構築しようとする力」を育成するものであることを明らかにすることで，コンピテンシーの内実の明確化を試みた。このことは翻って，キャリア形成支援においても社会的適応だけが目指されるのではなく，いかに社会を構築していくのかという課題に向き合う必要が示唆される。
      ②については，Account3（イギリス）と，2017年度調査の際に次年度以降の調査を依頼していたWest Silvertown Community Foundation（同，以下WSCF）での調査を行った。Account3では昨年度に続き，社会的孤立のの要因を精神的・身体的健康，安全，住宅，家族，コミュニティ，文化，環境などに分析して，それらを議会，Social Hausing，若者支援組織などと連携し，支援資源を組み合わせて支援する取り組みを調査した。また，WSCFでは，地域の貧困の問題，特に若者の貧困の問題に教育を含めてコミュニティ全体の開発を行おうとしていること，その際，Academy（初等教育学校）の建設というAccount3よりもよりコミュニティへのアプローチが見られ，本研究が射程に収めるブレンド型就労支援が個々の困難を抱える人との関わりに焦点化していたことへの課題が明らかになったため，次年度以降も継続的に調査を行うことを確認した。

      This research project aims to explore the role of social enterprises (work integration social enterprises), which are conceived as a key agent of transition support for socially excluded people, in terms of 'intermediately work' and 'workplace empowerment'. The main tasks are: 1) to discuss the logic of regional construction of a work support system that allows diverse work styles, beyond single-track career assistance such as a transition support to general work; 2) to empirically clarify the conditions and issues of the development of social enterprise practices in creating expanded learning opportunities/spaces to reconsider the meaning of working.
