    Lecturer, Center for Foreign Language Education and Research, Rikkyo University.

    Has previously held teaching and research positions at:

    * Rikkyo Uiversity’s Center for English Discussion Class which included delivering teacher training for new  teachers

    * the Department of Global Innovation Studies at Toyo University teaching and/or designing several academic programs (the Academic English Program which included test preparation, the Global Leaderahip and Internship courses, managing the Department's stand-alone SALC - Self Access Learning Center to improve student’s English

    * the University of Sydney (several departments: the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies which I also co-redesigned two older courses in response to student feedback and the need to offer a unique course offering not available in other Sydney University courses, and more effectively link theory to practice); the Human Rights program in the Department of Sociology and Social Policy, and the Department of History)

    * the Academic English Bridging Program at the Academy of Information Technology Sydney

    * several programs at the Greenwich English College Sydney and Melbourne (General English Program, Japanese Students’ English Pronunciation Program, and the Government-licensed TESOL - Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages - English Teacher Training Program where I was as a trainer for trainee TESOL teachers); and the Department of Psychology at the University of Otago, working as a research assistant and researcher.

    Current research projects include developing a meta-methodology for English language learning and teaching at the university-level using simulations (active learning, student-centred advanced role-play exercises that can be used as course capstones) around global issues.

    Academic Reviewer for the Journal of Human Rights Practice (Oxford University) and the Journal of Peace, Development & Communication (Peace and Development Foundation). Former Academic Reviewer and Committee Member for the Journal of Foreign Language Education & Research (Rikkyo University) and Journal of Multilingual Pedagogy & Practice (Rikkyo University).

    Recipient of the Isaac Roet Prize for Fostering World Peace Through a Better Distribution of World Resources, presented by the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Amsterdam and Economists for Peace and Security, for his research on peacebuilding in Israel-Palestine

    Provides evidence-based policy advice to current and former government cabinet ministers and senior diplomats, and NGOs
